It's yet another birthday,
as you grow an year older,
This day has effected me too,
as I get a little bolder.
I hope you get wiser,
with an year adding to your age,
And you see that I was a miser,
not telling, you are my advantage.
God gave you to me,
to be my friend in need,
How could I thank thy enough,
is my thought on this day indeed.
If you were here today,
I would have baked a cake,
Just sweet and soft like you,
and things you did for my sake.
Would garnish it with cream,
and nuts and chocolates extreme,
Also tell you in my dream,
how friendly we have been.
Let fragrance and colours and laughter,
surround you when you think of past,
But fortune and family and friends,

Time took its toll,
we got apart for years,
How far you have been,
my heart always kept you near.
When wisdom comes with age,
and memories haunt those days,
I tried and traced and found you,
